How to Spend 2-3 Days in Paros, Greece (Itinerary + Travel Guide)
We spent 3 nights and 2 full days in Paros, a lovely Greek island in the Cyclades. Paros is known for its adorable villages, a fun party scene in Naousa, and unique mud-mask beaches.
If you’re spending 2–3 days in Paros, here’s exactly what you should do.
How Many Days Do You Need in Paros?
You can experience what this island has to offer in 2–3 full days. I’d recommend 3 days if you’re wanting to visit Antiparos as well.
Best Time to Visit Paros
Peak season is June through August, with the highest traffic in July and August. I’d recommend visiting in June or September for the best balance of weather and crowds.
We went toward the end of October for our honeymoon, Paros was actually our last island stop, and we didn’t get much beach time because it was too cold.
Many businesses were also closing down. Popular restaurants we wanted to visit, like DIONYSOS, were already closed (and the reviews look amazing).
So I wouldn’t recommend visiting mid to late October.
That said, we still made the most of our time. I booked an Airbnb with amazing views, and we ended up having dinner there twice with wine and a frozen pizza from the supermarket, which honestly turned out to be such a cozy, romantic moment. We still explored the towns and visited a few beaches as well.
Do You Need a Car in Paros?
Absolutely - you’ll definitely need a car to get around the island.
We used Ace Cars Paros and had a great experience. They met us right at the port with the car, and it was super quick and easy. Honestly one of the easiest car rental experiences I’ve had.
Our 2-3 Day Paros Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive, Settle in + Dinner in Naousa
On our first day, we arrived by ferry, got picked up at the port, and headed to our Airbnb to settle in.
That evening, we went to Naousa to explore and grab dinner. We ate at Notos - highly recommend.
If you’re looking for more of a party vibe, you could go to places like Barbarossa, which is known for people waving towels and dancing on tables. We didn’t go, but it looked like so much fun and I’d definitely check it out next time.
Day 2: Lefkes , Marpissa + Kalegeros Beach
Start your morning in Lefkes, a charming, classic Greek village with some very popular photo spots. Check out my blog on Lefkes and Marpissa, where to find the best photo spots.
Grab breakfast at Cafe Marigo, wander through the cute streets, pop into little shops, and take photos. I’d recommend spending about 1.5–2 hours here.
Next, head about 8 minutes down the road to Marpissa. This village is even smaller, quieter, and less touristy.
When we went, there was absolutely no one there. It may have been because things were closing for the season, but it made it feel so peaceful. There are restaurants, shops, and an iconic pink door photo spot here.
Even if things are closed, it’s still worth walking around, the streets are beautiful and perfect for photos.
After that, head to Kalogeros Beach (the mud mask beach). This is one of the most unique beaches in Paros.
It’s known for its natural clay rocks that you can turn into a mud mask. Cover your body, leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse it off in the sea. Your skin feels so smooth and refreshed after.
You’ll find the clay rocks to the left when you walk onto the beach. Look for lighter, clay-like rocks, you may need to scrape it a bit to get it off.
Aside from the mud experience, the beach itself is beautiful with cool rock formations, clear water, and a mix of sand and stone.
This beach is just a few minutes from Marpissa, making this whole route the perfect half-day plan.
After the beach, you’ll definitely be hungry, and I can’t recommend Grill House Daras enough. It’s right nearby on your way back toward Marpissa. We had the best gyros of our entire Greece trip here, and it was also the cheapest meal we had. So good.
From here, you can either head back to your Airbnb to relax or continue on to Alyki Beach.
Alyki is a sandy beach on the southern coast with a cute little town and port area. Spend some time at the beach, explore the area, and grab dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants.
Day 3: Naousa + Beach Day
Head to Naousa in the morning to grab photos at the iconic Linardo pink door. It was unfortunately under construction when we visited, but it’s definitely something you should check out.
Stop at Almond for pastries, then head to some nearby beaches.
We went to Kolympethres Beach, which is known for its smooth, granite-like rock formations. It’s one of the most popular beaches in Paros and definitely worth visiting.
There’s also a beach club here, which was closing when we visited.
Other nearby beaches to check out:
Monastiri Beach
Perikopetra Beach
I’d recommend picking a beach club and spending the day relaxing in the sun.
For dinner, head into the port village. You could try DIONYSOS (very popular and romantic) or Mario, another highly rated spot.
Bonus Day: Visit Antiparos
We only had 2 full days, but if I had another day, I would definitely go to Antiparos.
It’s a short ferry ride away and has beautiful beaches, a charming town, and fun activities like ATV riding.
It would make for a really fun half-day or full-day trip.
Why You Should Visit Paros
Paros is such a charming island with classic Greek vibes, beautiful villages, and good beaches.
What makes it really special is that it gives you a mix of everything, relaxing beach days, aesthetic photo spots, and fun nightlife in Naousa, without feeling as overwhelming or crowded as places like Santorini or Mykonos.
It’s also a great “in-between” island if you’re hopping around the Cyclades and want a mix of exploring and slowing down.
